Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has been released from the hospital days after a nasty fall left her with three fractured ribs.
Ginsburg returned home Friday after falling Wednesday night in her court office and heading to the hospital Thursday. She was held for observation and treatment, and is expected to make a full recovery.
The 85-year-old is the eldest justice on the highest court, and the injury has caused some to question how long she will hold her position.
However, the president offered optimism over the situation.
“I wouldn’t say she’s exactly on my side, but I wish her well, I hope she gets better, and hope she serves on the Supreme Court for many, many years,” he commented.
Ginsburg was appointed in 1993 by former President Bill Clinton.
President Trump has already had two Supreme Court nominees approved for the highest court — Neil Gorsuch and more recently Brett Kavanaugh.
